Haints & Saints: A Poetry Sampler

 ~

An All Hallows' Eve/All Saints' Day-themed poetry sampler came about when we read these poems that featured ghosts in old houses, golems, and gatherings with the dead. But these poems were also lovely elegiac laments for people and places that are no more. "The past shines down my spine," writes Summar West in her poem "Buncombe County." We admired how that past was manifested in all these poems that sing about the haints and saints we carry around with us.
